of Ukraine named after Taras Shevchenko, honorary citizen of Kyiv and Ternopil

Member of the "Golden Guild" of International Academy of Modern Art in Rome , a member of the Scientific Council of the Academy (2006 ), "maestro of the highest prestige, who wrote the most beautiful page in the history of modern art."
He is 72 out of 100 living geniuses of the world, defined by the rating survey in the UK (Greators Synectics, 2007). "Genius, which influenced the transformation of social consciousness" (global portal for Earth Univers, 2007).
In soviet times Ivan Marchuk was accused of being uprofessional, while in Europe he was recognized as a living genius. Avoided to be noticed at the country of birth, he managed to have nearly 100 successful solo exhibitions abroad and finally has received the most prestigious national respect. He refused emigration, returned to Ukraine and then surprised the world. The artist daily overcomes the 103 stairs to the fifth floor of his workshop, to his table, an easel, a place for insights
Opening of the exhibition of selected artist’s works was held in MyGallery, on , June 5, Kozhum'yatska 18 Vozdvizhenka, Kyiv .
