“We have assembled key specialists in all fields: fine arts, music, cinema, literature, fashion in order to maximally depict the subject of avant-garde to Ukrainians. The purpose of the exhibition is to present Ukraine as a specific «crossroad» of innovations in the art of the first half of the XX century”, – says Natalia Shpitkovska, the director of the M17 Contemporary Art Center.

The project will feature the works of Olexander Bogomazov, Vasyl Yermilov, Olexandra Exter, David Burliuk, Anatoly Petrytsky, Boris Kosarev, Olexander Rodchenko, Maria Sinyakova and Victor Palma. Beside the museum part, M17 will present an audiovisual show from Front Pictures team, which brings together the brightest examples of the world avant-garde. A special project «Ukrainian avant-garde map» prepared by the contemporary Ukrainian artist Roman Chizenko will be represented in the courtyard of M17.
